Power Usage Effectiveness compares total facility power to the power used directly by IT equipment.
PUE = Total Facility Power ÷ IT Equipment Power. A lower PUE means more of the power is going directly to IT equipment
instead of cooling, lighting, and support systems. PUE is useful, but it does not measure water use, grid impact,
carbon intensity, reliability, or whether costs are assigned fairly.
